Swimming Pool Inspections

When Is A Swimming Pool Inspection Required?

A pool inspection is required before a house can be rented or sold in compliance with the relevant laws. A pool compliance certificate will need to be obtained from a qualified inspector. The compliance certificate confirms that the pool meets all safety requirements and regulations, which is important for both the owners and potential buyers or tenants.

Certificate Validation

It is important to note that compliance certificates are only valid for a certain period of time and must be renewed when they expire.

NSW: A certificate of compliance is valid for 3 years

QLD: Safety certificates are valid for 2 years for non-shared pools

VIC: A certificate of barrier compliance is only valid for 30 days after it is issued
